Fire Station Creative - Ukrainian Photographic Exhibition
£600 was granted to the Fire Station Creative towards framing prints for a photographic exhibition of Ukrainian refugees.
Dunfermline Pipe Band - new kilts in the Dunfermline City Tartan.
Thanks to a generous grant of £4750, Dunfermline Pipe Band will have new kilts, celebrating Dunfermline’s City status, in 2026.
Beanstalk Nursery 50th Anniversary Community Street Party
Thanks to an £1000 grant from the Trust, Beanstalk Nursey celebrated 50th years with a community street party, with close to 200 people attending.
Fife Council - Big Light Switch-On 2025
Thanks to a generous grant of £5000 from the Trustees, families were treated to free funfair rides at the Dunfermline Big Light Switch On event on Sunday 16th November 2025. The rides, set at the welcoming entrance of Pittencrieff Park, brought joy and excitement to children and families from 1pm right through to after 6pm.
Singergie Choir
The Trust was proud to award a £4,500 to Singergie Choir.
Run, Jump, Throw
The Trustees were pleased to award a £1500 to Pitreavie Athletics to support their Run, Jump, Throw initiative.
George Alexander Aitken
In recognition of the wonderful service and commitment given by George to Dunfermline Art Club and its members, the George Aitken Award commenced in 2023 and is awarded annually at the Dunfermline Art Club Winter Exhibition.

Thanks to an £800 grant from the Trust, S3 Geography pupils swapped their desks for wellies on a hands-on field trip to Solsgirth Home Farm in April 2024.

New Chair
Janet McCauslin MBE, has been appointed as the thirty-fourth Chair of the Carnegie Dunfermline and Hero Fund Trust, succeeding Andrew Croxford, who has served as Chairman for the last two years.
Enchanted Glen
After the success of last year’s Enchanted Glen, the Trustees were keen to carry on Andrew Carnegie’s legacy of spreading ‘sweetness and light’ in his beloved Dunfermline.
Sir Tom Hunter
We were delighted to welcome one of Scotland’s most influential businessmen and entrepreneurs, Sir Tom Hunter, to the Andrew Carnegie Birthplace Museum on 3rd of November.
