Supporting Young Athletes at Pitreavie AAC: A Grant Making a Real Difference

The Carnegie Dunfermline Trust is pleased to share the positive impact of a recent grant awarded to Pitreavie Amateur Athletics Club (PAAC). This funding has enabled the club to purchase brand‑new athletics equipment that will enhance training opportunities for children and young athletes across the local community.

Investing in Youth Participation and Healthy Activity

One of our core aims as a Trust is to help create opportunities that encourage young people to live active, healthy lives. Pitreavie AAC embodies this mission through its commitment to engaging children in sport and supporting them as they grow in confidence, ability, and enthusiasm.

Each week, more than 200 children take part in the club’s athletics sessions. The new equipment funded by our grant will be used across their Run Jump Throw programme as well as their club pathway groups, which support those beginning their athletics journey.

Helping to Strengthen Community Sport

We are proud that this grant will help Pitreavie AAC:

  • Enhance the quality and variety of their athletics sessions

  • Offer more age‑ and stage‑appropriate skill development activities

  • Support safe and enjoyable participation for children at all levels

  • Nurture the next generation of local athletes

Pitreavie AAC plays a valuable role in promoting physical activity and providing welcoming sporting opportunities for children in Dunfermline and beyond. We are delighted to support their work and contribute to the development of grassroots athletics in our community.
