October 2025 Board Awards

At their Board meeting on October 30th 2025, the Trustees awarded the following grants:

Bringing Communities Together Through Pantomime - £4,602 was granted towards pantomime tickets for local support groups dedicated to reducing isolation. This funding provided 236 tickets across 12 fantastic groups in Dunfermline, giving members the chance to enjoy a festive outing together.

The groups included:
Home-Start, SEAL, Aberlour, FASS, Fife Young Carers, Fife Gingerbread, Young at Heart, Tourette Support Group, PARS Foundation, EATS Rosyth, Re-Engage Group, Cross Reach Heart for Art, and MIND – Change Mental Health.

Thanks to this initiative, individuals who might otherwise feel alone were able to experience the magic of theatre together. It’s more than a show - it’s a moment of belonging.

Lighting Up Dunfermline for Christmas - £5,000 was granted towards children’s rides and activity tents at the Dunfermline Christmas Lights Switch-On. This support helped create a magical, family-friendly atmosphere bringing joy, excitement and festive cheer to the heart of the city.

It brought sweetness and light to the people of Dunfermline as a celebration of community, togetherness and the start of a wonderful festive season for Dunfermline.

Celebrating Tradition with a Modern Touch - £4,750 was awarded to the Dunfermline Pipe Band, enabling them to replace their kilts with the official City of Dunfermline Tartan. This investment not only preserves a proud cultural tradition but also strengthens the band’s identity as ambassadors for our city.

By showcasing the City of Dunfermline Tartan, the band will continue to represent our community with pride, at home and on the world stage.

Keeping the Music Alive in Touch - £4,500 was awarded to Singergie Community Choir to support the running of their vibrant community choir in Touch. This funding helps bring people together through the joy of singing, fostering connection, creativity and wellbeing within the local community.

By supporting Singergie, we’re helping ensure that everyone has the opportunity to share in the power of music and friendship.
