February 2026 Board Awards
At their Board meeting on October 26th 2026, the Trustees awarded the following grants:
The Bruce Festival 2026 - The Trustees were delighted to award £6000 towards the cost of bringing actors, players, jousters, storytellers, stone lifters and musicians to this year’s Bruce Festival. This well‑run and much‑loved event makes excellent use of Pittencrieff Park, celebrating local heritage while offering engaging entertainment for the whole community. Our support reflects the Trustees’ commitment to fostering vibrant cultural experiences in shared community spaces.
Citizens Rights & Advice Fife - The Trustees were pleased to award £2,500 to CARF’s Financial Futures Project, a new pilot initiative designed to deliver financial resilience workshops for Dunfermline residents experiencing hardship. By helping establish this project, the Trustees aim to strengthen local support networks and provide practical tools that empower individuals to manage financial challenges with greater confidence.
Dunfermline & West Fife Sports Council - £9,550 was awarded to the Dunfermline & West Fife Sports Council in support of their youth initiative, which delivers high‑quality school sports coaching from qualified coaches linked to both the Primary School Sport Festivals and local community clubs. This programme also creates meaningful opportunities for Young Leaders from local secondary schools, who volunteer at the festivals - umpiring, scoring and encouraging younger children while developing their own confidence and leadership skills.
This initiative places support directly at the ‘coal face’ of youth sport participation, engaging children during their formative primary years and inspiring a lifelong connection to sport. The Trustees are proud to help strengthen this pathway, fostering both active lifestyles and the next generation of community leaders.
