Supporting Young People in Dunfermline
At their Board meeting on 25 June 2026, Trustees of the Carnegie Dunfermline Trust were delighted to award grants to two projects making a meaningful difference to the lives of local young people.
SEAL Dunfermline were awarded grant of £1,920 to support their Summer Connections Programme, providing creative and activity-based workshops for children and young people aged 8–16 who experience social isolation, low confidence and difficulties forming friendships. Delivered in a safe and supportive environment, the programme will offer engaging sessions led by artists and facilitators, helping participants build confidence, resilience and social skills during a time of year when many can feel particularly isolated.
Youth 1st were awarded £2,000 to in support of their B:activ Project, which will deliver a programme of leadership and wellbeing sessions for around 300 young people in Dunfermline. Through a wide range of activities - including sports, creative sessions and leadership training - the project promotes confidence, teamwork and community engagement, while supporting young people to gain skills, achieve awards and develop a stronger sense of belonging.
Both projects reflect the Trust’s ongoing commitment to supporting initiatives that improve wellbeing, reduce isolation and create positive opportunities for young people in Dunfermline.
