Trustees Award Grants at October Board Meeting

At their October Board Meeting, the Trustees of Carnegie Dunfermline Trust were pleased to approve two grants totalling £6381, supporting projects that will enhance community spaces, improve wellbeing and create opportunities for local people across Dunfermline.

Abbeyview Kids Club

AKC were awarded £1381 towards improving their services. The grant will be used to purchase essential equipment that will significantly enhance the quality, safety and inclusivity of Abbeyview Kids Club’s services. New sensory and outdoor equipment will help children regulate emotions, reduce anxiety and participate more confidently, helping to improve the overall wellbeing and health of all the children in the club.

Pantomime Tickets

£5000 was allocated towards tickets for the pantomime in the Alhambra. This funding will be split between around 15 groups (approx. 256 individuals) to allow them to participate, helping to reduce barriers to attending. Attending the pantomime has helped many people over the past few years. This grant provides a valuable opportunity for local groups and families to enjoy a shared cultural experience. The feedback always highlights the positive impact on wellbeing, helping to reduce isolation, strengthen social connections and create lasting memories through a festive, inclusive and enjoyable day out.

Strengthening Communities

These awards reflect the Trust's ongoing commitment to supporting projects that improve quality of life, strengthen communities and bring ‘sweetness and light’ for people across Dunfermline.

We congratulate all of the organisations receiving support and look forward to seeing the positive impact of their projects in the months ahead.
