The Bruce 750 Festival Brings History to Life in Pittencrieff Park!
The Trust was proud to award a £7,500 grant to support the thrilling jousting events at the spectacular Bruce 750 Festival, held in Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline, on 1–2 June 2024.
Marking the 750th anniversary of the birth of Robert the Bruce, the festival was a vibrant celebration of Scotland’s medieval heritage. Visitors were transported back in time with staged battles, jousting tournaments, archery, falconry displays, storytelling, and a bustling re-enactment village—all woven together by the legendary story of The Bruce.
With the sun shining and spirits high, the event drew an incredible 18,000 visitors over the weekend, making it a true community triumph and a fitting tribute to one of Scotland’s greatest historical figures.
