Carnegie Dunfermline Trust Supported the 2025 Children’s Gala with £3,000 Grant

The Carnegie Dunfermline Trust was pleased to support the 2025 Dunfermline Children’s Gala through the award of a £3,000 grant, contributing specifically towards the cost of the Carnival Bands that brought colour, music and vibrant energy to the event.

Celebrating Community Through Music and Tradition

The Trustees were delighted to approve this funding, recognising the Dunfermline Children’s Gala as one of the city’s most cherished annual traditions. The addition of Carnival Bands helped elevate the atmosphere, giving children and families a lively, memorable experience filled with celebration, movement and excitement.

The Gala has long been an important part of Dunfermline’s cultural calendar, bringing together schools, families, volunteers and local groups to mark a day centred around community pride and joy. Supporting the musical element of the event aligned strongly with the Trust’s commitment to enriching local life and ensuring cultural traditions continue to thrive.

A Meaningful Contribution to a Well‑Loved Event

The Trust’s grant helped ensure that the Carnival Bands could perform at the 2025 Gala, contributing to:

  • A vibrant and festive parade environment

  • A joyful experience for children taking part

  • A warm, welcoming community celebration for residents and visitors alike

The Trustees were pleased to see the event continue to flourish and to play a part in supporting its long-standing legacy.

Aligned With Our Charitable Purpose

By supporting an event enjoyed by hundreds of children and families, the Trust remained true to Andrew Carnegie’s ideals of fostering community wellbeing and enriching civic life. Helping create a joyful, inclusive environment for young people is central to our mission.
